PARTNER WITH PURPOSE
Partner With Us to Restore the Great Barrier Reef
Partner with The Nautical Nerds to support practical native oyster reef restoration, improve coastal water quality and rebuild vital marine habitat.
Corporate partnerships can help turn environmental commitments into tangible restoration — supporting the equipment, fieldwork, monitoring and infrastructure needed to grow our work across Great Barrier Reef coastal ecosystems.

WAYS TO PARTNER
FUND A PROJECT
Support a defined restoration activity, field program, equipment requirement or stage of our oyster reef restoration work.
ONGOING PARTNERSHIPS
Build a longer-term partnership that provides consistent support as restoration projects develop, expand and move into new locations.
ENGAGE YOUR TEAM
Create meaningful opportunities for staff to connect with practical marine conservation through field participation, project involvement and shared restoration activities.
IN-KIND SUPPORT
Contribute equipment, materials, vessels, marine services, technical expertise or other practical support that can directly strengthen restoration work.
WHAT YOUR SUPPORT MAKES POSSIBLE
FIELDWORK & DEPLOYMENT
Restoration requires both land-based logistics and work on the water. This can include sourcing and transporting rock, rubble and other materials from quarries, freight, loading and storage, site staging, vessels, diving equipment, safety gear, ropes and lifting equipment. These resources help move restoration materials from suppliers and workshops through to final deployment, inspection and ongoing maintenance in the field.
RESTORATION INFRASTRUCTURE
Our projects rely on purpose-built infrastructure to hold, protect and establish oysters in restoration areas. This can include oyster baskets and cages, frames, helical anchors, attachment systems and other reef structures, using materials such as steel, mesh, rope and marine-grade fittings, along with fabrication and welding to build durable systems suited to local marine conditions.
MONITORING & RESEARCH
Monitoring allows us to understand how oysters, habitat and surrounding water conditions respond over time. This can include water-quality meters, temperature and salinity sensors, underwater cameras, sampling equipment, oyster growth and survival assessments, habitat observations and tools for collecting and analysing field data.
HATCHERY & SCALING
Building restoration capacity means being able to produce and grow native oyster spat for future projects. This can involve tanks, pumps, filtration and aeration systems, plumbing, settlement materials, nursery equipment, water-quality systems and the infrastructure needed to increase production as restoration expands.
